T-Border Akhrot Palla Shawl

The T-Border Akhrot Palla Shawl combines two of Kullu's most celebrated motifs: the walnut (Akhrot) symbol that fills the body, and a distinctive T-shaped handmade side border that frames it. The T-border, unique to the Kullu tradition, requires the weaver to work the side fringe by hand after the body is off the loom — a labour-intensive finishing that no machine can replicate.
